Job Title: Logistic Warehouse Manager 

Main Purpose of Job: Logistics Manager responsibilities include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods. The goal is to manage the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.

Responsible for: Warehouse Operatives

Main Tasks of Job: 

  • Organising the Logistics from A to B 
  • Running the Rota for Warehouse 
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
  • Manage stock control
  • Running and maintaining the vehicles 
  • Running and maintain the buildings
  • Loading and unloading are met to your set deadline
  • Repairing and fixing equipment 
  • Inductions and Training in warehouse and on site 
  • Recruitment 
  • Picking List 
  • Conduct daily briefings keeping the health & safety files up to date. Ensure that all members of the team are wearing correct uniform and PPE. Provide first aid facilities, ensuring there is a first aid area (kept clear), first aid stocks/facilities are available. 
  • Requirement to be on site to build 
  • To manage a team of warehouse operatives on site
  • Staff are kept motivated to work efficiently and keep a positive attitude
  • Procedures are being followed at all times
  • To provide team briefings (toolbox talks) prior to any jobs commencing and debriefing meetings following every dismantle
  • To be the first point of contact for all warehouse operatives in relation to any queries, personnel issues and complaints
  • Ensure all equipment is to a satisfactory Hire standard and is maintained, cleaned, stored and transported in a suitable manner. Notify Operations Manager of any equipment unfit for hire
  • To familiarize yourself with project in hand prior to delivery and with the anticipated delivery of any sub- contractor stock or services through the information provided in the site pack 
  • building new equipment
  • Be responsible for induction training for all new employees and ensure they are equipped with correct PPE equipment and are safe to commence work
  • In certain weathers conditions the products are vulnerable and you will be expected on the rare occasion, to turn out, night or day

Person Specification

  • Substantial experience of the Marquee industry, including site and staff management
  • Communicate effectively at all times with the client representing All About ME marquees and events with professionalism, integrity and honesty
  • Knowledge and understanding of all the trades required on site, the codes of practice relating to them and the requirements for them, to be able to quality control works ensuring that they are completed to the required standards
  • Understanding and able to apply health and safety and security requirements
  • Commercial approach, identifies cost savings, understands budget issues

  • People management skills, to be able to instruct staff, deal with difficult staffing situations and maintain a productive, happy but disciplined working environment
  • Pro-active good at planning ahead as far as possible as the project progresses, checking back to plans regularly

  • Able to work calmly under pressure to tight deadlines

This is not a typical 9-5 job. Early starts and long days are the norm during peak season. Availability to work weekends is an integral part of the job. There is a possibility of overnight stays, for which accommodation will be provided.
